Casa Prāta was born out of an insatiable desire to infuse homes with a captivating narrative—and soul. As a design and styling studio, we curate, decorate, and transform spaces by pairing bespoke furnishings with rare, collected objects discovered through our travels. Serving the Washington metropolitan area and beyond, our atelier offers a full spectrum of services interior decoration, bespoke styling, and dedicated vintage and contemporary sourcing finds.

Casa Prāta draws inspiration from the word 'Prāta', meaning 'silver' in Portuguese and my name 'Prarthna' signifying 'prayer' or 'seeking' in Hindi, my native language. Much like silver, which develops a beautiful tarnish over time, objects with a natural patina or imperfections possess a timeless appeal that has always captivated me.
This profound connection to the allure of patina, combined with my quest for rare objects from faraway lands and experiences that nourish the soul, led me to Portugal — and ultimately brought Casa Prāta to life.
